Plan B Engineering executed planning, design, detailing, and construction management of the bracing system to stabilize the ruined Renwick Hospital.
The system provides temporary support to allow the safe repair and rehabilitation of the walls and provides a permanent system to keep what remains of the historic structure. Large steel braced frames carry the environmental loads into strap footings crisscrossing what was the ground floor slab.
The process required approving shop drawings and submittals, procedural changes and management.
