Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

The Overhead Protection designed comprised of over 3 million pounds of temporary steel.  This protection helped divide the public and occupants from the workers ensuring "Public Safety," while renovations are being performed.  Installed above the overhead protection system is Scaffolding and Material/Personnel Hoist to provide access to the cladding replacement work.

Custom Carts and Mobile Overhead Lifting Systems were utilized on top of the roof to transport 20,000 pound mechanical units along 600 feet of roof.  All systems traveled atop of steel tracks designed to span to specific locations capable of accepting the imposed loads.
